Bentley introduces the Continental GT V8 S and GT V8 S Convertible

Bentley must have felt the Continental GT V8 needed a little more power, so they introduced this new version that also uses the same V8 petrol engine but suffered many changes. The output generated by the 4-liter, twin-turbo V8 increased to 528PS (521bhp or 389KW) at 6,000rpm and to 680Nm (502lb/ft) at 1,700rpm.

Power is delivered through a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. The 0 to 100km/h (62mph) run is now done in 4.5 seconds while the top speed is 309km/h (192mph). The convertible is 0.2 seconds and 1km/h (1mph) slower.

Bentley says this engine allows for a range of 805km (500 miles) since the coupe has an average fuel consumption of 10.6l/100km (26.65 UK mpg or 22.19 USA mpg) and the convertible 10.9l/100km (25.91 UK mpg or 21.58 USA mpg).

To finish, Bentley also made a few cosmetic and suspension changes, making the car more agile, responsive and involving.
