Land Rover celebrates 65 years. Creates the Defender LXV Special Edition

The Defender LXV (65 in roman numerals) Special Edition was created to celebrate the brand's 65 years. It all started in 1948 with the "HUE 166", also known as the "Huey". This was the first Series I Land Rover, a vehicle that helped the Brithish company gain recognition for building robust vehicles for all types of terrain.

This special edition is available in five different body styles, and is based on the standard Defender that utilizes the 2.2 liter diesel engine with 122PS (120hp or 90kW) @3500rpm and 360Nm (266lb/ft) @2000rpm of torque, which in turn is connected to a six-speed manual gearbox.

Changes includes the 16 inch Sawtooth alloy wheels, a choice between Santorini Black or Fuji White with contrast Corris Grey roof, grille and headlight surrounds and front fascia.

Inside, we get full leather seats, with the letters LXV stitched in the front headrests and a contrasting orange stitching on the rest of the seats, steering wheel and center console. Prices will be revealed in August.
