Here's the 2014 GMC Sierra Regular Cab

The funny thing is that General Motors showed for the first time this new version of the 2014 GMC Sierra (Regular Cab) in a press release whose subject is the aerodynamics of the new pickup, adding that the Sierra spent more time in a wind tunnel than any GMC pickup before it, meaning it is more fuel efficient and also quieter.

Although I am not a fan of this type of vehicle, i have to admit that it looks good. In these images we can see some of the solutions found to help reduce air resistance. Among them we have a new air dam below the Sierra's front bumper that help reduce drag by directing air toward the ground and away from the truck’s rough under body.

GMC engineers also found a way to channel the air between the grille and radiator preventing it from swirling inside the truck’s front cavities. To conclude we can see that they tried to dispel the myth that it is better to drive with tailgate in a low position, revealing an image showing that the air flows more easily if it is up.
